Late summer evenings in the country are breathtaking. Everything from the spiderwebs to the tops of the tall grass has an angelic golden glow surrounding it. Being in the country without AC is definitely a challenge for me. I’m not used to sweating while just sitting or having grimy feet, but this change of scenery is exactly what a vacation should provide. I love seeing how others live and forcing myself out of my comfort zone. I’m considering buying a few box fans for our apartment to see if we can reduce or stop using our AC for a few weeks because I’ve started to get used to not having it!

I HATE THE BEACH

I went to Goodwill and found eight pieces for $27!!  I put some of those items together for this look.  I’ve been looking for a white blazer like this one for several months, but I couldn’t afford to buy a good quality one at the mall.  I love pairing black and white together because it’s so simple and classic.  You might also notice that my hair is a few inches shorter and that’s because Sangbin cut it for me last night!!

KEEPING PORTLAND WEIRD: Portland

Portland lived up to its reputation as “the place where young people go to retire.”  Lots of coffee shops, record stores, vintage/used clothing and book stores.  A good portion of the people on the street have a loud style regardless of their age.  I bought this whole outfit excluding the shoes and backpack at Buffalo Exchange.  I feel in love with the black Nike jacket and built the outfit around it.

It’s the end of the school year and also the end of my undergraduate career!  Woo!  I cannot wait for the travels this summer before I start graduate school in the fall.  Stay tuned! xxxxx
